Requirements

 

  • Develop and integrate signal processing capabilities in a software defined radio (SDR) framework
  • Perform high-level software system design for new features and systems prior to implementation.
  • Work closely with the team(s) developing the SDR framework, trying out new features, proposing new features, identifying and troubleshooting bugs, etc.
  • Mentor junior team members

 

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

 

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience developing software in C++, including experience using debuggers such as GDB.
  • Experience developing and/or integrating signal processing applications in an SDR framework
  • Minimum 2 years developing software in Python
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Experience with automated software testing at various levels including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.
  • Familiarity with REDHAWK software defined radio framework or a similar framework such as GNU Radio
  • Linux development experience including building and installing RPMs
  • Experience with Continuous Integration including the use of Gitlab CI and/or Jenkins
  • Docker container experience
  • Knowledge of RF front-end hardware
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with the Agile development process

Relevant Experience and Skills (BSCS, BSCE and 8-15 Yrs or 14-19 Yrs No Degree)

  • Direct experience leading teams of software developers
  • Experience interacting with project customers and stakeholders to report project status, and manage subsystem requirements
  • Linux/Unix experience
  • Java development experience
  • XML/XSD experience
  • Scripting language experience such as Python or Perl
  • Java Graphical User Interface (GUI) development experience
  • Direct experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)/middleware technologies such as enterprise service bus (ESB), CORBA, SOAP, or Internet Communications Engine (ICE)
  • Experience using IDEs such as JBuilder and/or Eclipse
  • Direct experience with CM tools such as Subversion/Trac or Git
  • C++ development experience (preferred)
  • Eclipse RCP or EMF training or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Direct experience in the development of collection systems and components within the IC (preferred)
  • Web framework experience such as Ruby on Rails, Django, SpringFramework, or Zope (preferred)

Clearance: Must currently hold a TS\SCI with Polygraph Clearance
