Open-source Web Developer (SW4)


Primary skills:

  • Expert JavaScript skills
  • Create custom, dynamic web functionality using technologies such as Angular 2, Ember.js, Express, and MongoD
  • Must be fluent in a range of open-source JavaScript libraries (e.g., AngularJS/MEAN, JQuery, Node.js)
  • Leverage CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Google's Material Design/MUI. Create, update, and test REST web services
  • Standard development tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins

Secondary skills:

  • Swagger
  • Java/back-end skills
  • Docker
  • ETL/data transport/transformation
  • Create and work with RPMs
  • Basic scripting
  • Familiarity with networking and cybersecurity concepts
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure

Additional Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum LCAT Requirements:

  • Fifteen (15) years experience in software development and maintenance (i.e. software requirements analysis and software design including object oriented analysis and design, coding, testing, documentation, configuration management, user training, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance.)
  • Documented formal training on the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) model or documented experience working on projects that applied some portions of this model

  • Documented formal training on DOD standards for software testing and documentation or documented experience working on projects that applied these standards

  • Five (5) years documented experience in leading software development teams
  • Relevant Degree: Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Information Systems
