Requirements

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems

  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Use command line functions to monitor, troubleshoot and resolve incidents or service requests on client/server/storage/network devices
  • Provide clear communication of impacting incidents to agency management and internal customers
  • Configure and manage LINUX operating systems, install/load operating system software
  • Install application software
  • Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance using established testing and verification steps
  • Support the design of systems, infrastructure and associated hardware
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration
  • Rack and stack system components in a lab environment
  • Occasionally run network cable to support new workstation/server installations
  • Provide support for power outages in the lab
  • Make software modifications to obtain ATO and ensure SSP compliance within ICD 503 standards
  • Address, research, test and implement IAVA security patches on Linux systems
  • Assist developers with end to end testing and verification for pre-deployment
  • Author installation procedures for applications and incident resolutions
  • Modify, manage and maintain NIS, NFS, DNS on RedHat LINUX platforms
  • Provide support for specialized tools and operating systems in a LINUX environment
  • Perform system backups and restorations

Additional Requirements / Qualifications

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

  • Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • A Current TS\SCI with Polygraph Clearance is Required!!
